Beth Kuch is the associate director of communications at the Hawaii Community Foundation (HCF). In this role, she provides strategic communications development focusing on organizational communications as well as various HCF initiatives such as the Transform Hawaii Government coalition, Pillars of Peace Hawaii, and Wai Maoli: Hawaii Fresh Water Initiative. With interests in advocacy, public health, and social change, Beth has worked as the program manager for the Tobacco Use Prevention and Cessation Program for the Department of Health in Baltimore County, communications coordinator for the Coalition for a Tobacco-Free Hawaii, and coalition coordinator for Tobacco-Free Oahu coalition. She has worked for a variety of nonprofit organizations, public relations agencies, governmental entities, and corporations in Hawaii, Southern California, and Maryland. She has taught courses in communications, news editing, advertising and public relations at Chaminade University, Hawaii Pacific University, and the University of Maryland. She has a B.A. in Environmental Studies and Public Policy and an M.A. in Strategic Public Relations from the University of Southern California.
